Scallywags is Da Nang's home for Springboks and All Blacks fans. We show every Bok and All Black test live, plus the Rugby Championship, the Six Nations, the Nations Championship, Super Rugby and the South African sides in the URC. Expect a bar full of jerseys and a proper crowd for the big ones.

 

Springboks and All Blacks nights

Co-owner Robbie is South African, so the Boks always bring a big crowd here, and there's a strong All Blacks following to match. When the two meet, the bar is packed. Grab a bag of biltong, made fresh in Da Nang by our sister restaurant, the Braai Pit, and a Klippies and Coke, the Saffer classic. We pour Klipdrift, Klipdrift Premium and Richelieu.

 

Rugby kick-off times in Vietnam

• Tests in South Africa: about 10pm

• Tests in New Zealand: early to mid afternoon

• Tests in Australia: late afternoon

• Six Nations (February–March): Saturday evenings from about 9pm, plus Sunday night games

• Super Rugby Pacific: Friday and Saturday afternoons

Rugby World Cup 2027

The 2027 Rugby World Cup is in Australia, from 1 October to 13 November. With the games in Australian time, most kick off in the afternoon or evening here. We're showing the tournament, with fixtures in Vietnam time in the Sports Desk.

 

Super Rugby

Every Super Rugby Pacific game is on, usually Friday and Saturday afternoons Vietnam time.

 

What to expect

• Eight big screens (85" and 55") with the sound on. When rugby clashes with AFL or NRL, we split the sound across the patio and two zones inside.

• Biltong by the bag or as a bar snack, made fresh by the Braai Pit

• South African brandy and Coke (Klipdrift, Klipdrift Premium or Richelieu), plus Carlsberg, Huda and San Miguel on tap

• Air-conditioned, non-smoking indoor area and a covered patio

• Families welcome
