Watch AFL in Da Nang

 

Scallywags Bar & Grill shows every round of the AFL season live, from the opening bounce in March to the Grand Final in September. We're an expat-owned sports bar in An Thượng, a short walk from My Khe Beach, and footy is a big part of who we are.

 

AFL kick-off times in Vietnam

Vietnam is three hours behind Melbourne for most of the season (four in March and early April, during Australian daylight saving), so footy lands at a very civilised time here:

• Friday night footy: about 4:30pm

• Saturday: games from late morning through to the 4:30pm night game

• Sunday: late morning and early afternoon

• AFL Grand Final: 11:30am on the last Saturday of September

What to expect

• Eight big screens (85" and 55") with the sound on. When AFL and NRL clash, we split the sound.

• Air-conditioned, non-smoking indoor area, plus a covered outdoor patio

• A proper Aussie-style pub menu: pie and mash, nachos, wings, burgers and Chicago-style pizza

• Carlsberg, Huda and San Miguel on tap, plus Guinness and Da Nang craft beer

• Happy hour 3–6pm Monday to Friday: buy 2 drinks, get 1 free

• Families welcome

 

Grand Final Day and ANZAC Day

Grand Final Day is one of our biggest days of the year. ANZAC Day is the other big one: the Collingwood vs Essendon ANZAC Day game usually starts about 12:20pm Vietnam time on 25 April. Come early: we don't take reservations, and the best seats go fast.
